Thomas & Danielle

Thomas Knox is from a family whose passion for generations has been the breeding, training and riding of all types of horses. He has decades of experience in handling Thoroughbred youngstock and has been heavily involved in the groundwork part of their education. Thomas will be assisting Danielle in carrying out the relevant physio and exercise programs prescribed to each horse, so you can rest assured your horse will be getting the best care possible with Yorkshire Equine Rehabillitation.

 

With an attribute for organisation, Thomas is essential for management of the yards day-to-day running, logistics and medications. Two decades of farming has enbaled Thomas to perfect medication administration of all varieties, including injections.

Danielle Hudson, BSc MSc Vet Phys MNAVP RAMP is our onsite veterinary physiotherapist. She currently runs her own business treating horses and dogs around the North East and North Yorkshire. 

​

Danielle is fully covered by professional and public liability insurance and a registered National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapy (NAVP) and Registered Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioner (RAMP) member.

 

Danielle is a Newcastle University Animal Science BSc 2018 graduate. She continued her studies at Harper Adams University to obtain her post-graduate veterinary physiotherapy certificate in 2021. In September 2021 she successfully gained her masters degree after submitting her masters research project looking at the effect of core exercises on objetive parameteres in NH Thoroughbreds.

Danielle has owned her own thoroughbreds since she was 12 and has worked in the thoroughbred racing industry both NH and flat for 10 years since the completion of her A levels and throughout her university life. This has enabled her to see and feel the physiological demand competitive training has on equine athletes. Danielle has developed an understanding and knowledge in competitive equine sport and acquired an empathetic approach when treating.
